Prof. Michele Minute is a lecturer in the courses of Semiology and Clinical Methodology (III year) and Surgery II (VI year) at the School of Medicine of the University of Genoa, and a lecturer in the course of General Surgery at the School of Dentistry of the same University. It is also a teacher in the School of Specialization in General Surgery and Clinical Pathology at the University of Genoa.

Professor Michele Minuto has always dedicated to endocrine surgery and thyroid function in particular, having published more than 50 scientific papers on the topic Https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/?term=minuto (m), and having written chapters for several international textbooks on endocrine surgery. He is also the designer and co-editor of the English text "Thyroid Surgery: preventing and managing complications", edited by Wiley/Blackwell in 2013 (http://www.wiley.com/WileyCDA/WileyTitle/productCd-0470659505.html). He organized in Genoa several scientific workshops of international level on different topics: in particular on adrenal surgery and surgery of thyroid cancer. His scientific impact has been confirmed by the National Abilitation for the role of Associate Professor, achieved in 2013.
He is also interested in the promotion and dissemination of knowledge of the thyroid diseases in the population organising various editions of the "Week of thyroid" in Genoa, and the promotion and dissemination of basic knowledge on surgery in general in the population, organizing workshops during the main events scientific dissemination Genoese: "Night of researchers", "UniverCity", "Festival of Science".
